• helping faculty at Miami University, Ohio, "re-tool" in early childhood issues, as necessitated by changes in Ohio's pre-service standards
   
• at the request of Kellogg Company, writing a booklet of movement activities for parents and children to do at home ("Kids in Action," distributed by the President's Council on Physical Fitness and the National Association for Sport and Physical Education)
   
• advising the Canadian Broadcast Corporation on a new television program that inspires preschoolers to be physically active
